Devil May Cry Movie

            Joining the likes of the Resident Evil franchise, Devil May Cry will be the second Capcom title to be turned into a movie.

             

            According to Variety, the film was picked up by Screen Gems, the same movie studio that handled the Resident Evil movies.

             

            Writing the screenplay for the film will be writer and producer, Kyle Ward, who is also working on the Kane and Lynch movie adaptation, as well as a film called Fiasco Heights. Although Wards role in this film is not cast in stone, he does plan to create the storyline around the Dante’s (the protagonist) quest to avenge is mother’s death by killing hordes of demons.

             

            Since, the film is still in its infancy there has been no speculation as to when Dante will make his appearance on the silver screen, but for Capcom this film may be the one to share Resident Evil’s box office success.
