Panasonic Jungle Flops

Panasonic’s attempt to break into the portable gaming market fell short as production of its handheld gaming device was canceled.

Production of the handheld, which was dubbed The Jungle, was called off merely five months after it was announced. The Jungle was supposed to be a gaming device that focused solely on massively multiplayer online computer games.

"Panasonic decided to suspend further development due to changes in the market and in our own strategic direction," according to an official Panasonic statement.

Apparently for PC and Macintosh gamers, there is no need to go more portable than a laptop for their computer gaming needs.
